Remodeling Two Nursing Stations
Harpur Memorial Hospital in Menouf plans to re-model two nursing stations: one on the surgical floor and one on the ground floor of the inpatient building. The current set-up of these nursing stations has multiple problems – for example the lack of work-flow means that papers can be lost, patients can crowd around the desk, medicine is prepared in the same place as food is consumed etc.
The new design (see below) will improve the nursing services of the hospital. The hospital is currently working towards setting up a nursing school. If nurses training is improved, then the nursing stations also needs to be upgraded, so that good nursing practises can be followed at the hospital. Therefore this project has a training and capacity building goal, as well as improving the hospital building itself.
