New Outpatient Department for HMH Menouf
In recent years as its medical services have improved, Harpur Memorial Hospital in Menouf has drawn increasing numbers of patients. In 2013, over 122,000 outpatients were treated; double the number of patients only 4 years earlier!
The current outpatient building is one of the original buildings of the hospital, built in the early 20th century. It was not designed to accommodate the current patient load, which often exceeds 500 patients per day. The outpatient facility urgently needs upgrading to accommodate the continued growth.
An international group of engineers have designed a new two-storey building, which will be constructed in three phases.
The total cost of the project is $3,311,000 USD.
